    MIDDLE CLASSES

    The Students of Middle grades of Vi to VIII, are provided with significant understanding of each subject. Once the foundation of learning is established in the primary classes, they are further provided with required academic rigor in order to prepare them for the upcoming challenges. We provide our students with an integrated knowledge for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and Commerce in an easily comprehensible manner through our unique teaching methods. The “Mylestone” curriculum which is used by Vinayam Public School for this phase focuses on the career building of a student apart from academic achievements, for which different activities and program are initiated along with the academic subjects in the curriculum. Up to grade VIII, the teaching methodology, assessments, and the lesson plans are as per the norms of is as per CBSE curriculum following New Education Policy and latest Pedagogy.

    TEACHING METHODOLOGY-
    • It matters a great deal as to how the most basic of concepts are being taught, especially when we take into consideration the most typical of subjects such as Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics , Commerce. To eliminate the fear and to bring out the best of a child’s performance, teaching methodology plays a big role. Students in secondary classes require absolute clarity of each concept so we prepare them in Classes VI to VIII.
    • Our hands-on learning approach allow each child to have a clear conceptual understanding of logic behind every formula, every practical or every application learned is well engraved in the minds of these little geniuses.

    Subjects
    MATHS & SCIENCE Secondary classes aim at making our students excel their core understanding of the concepts. Logical and conceptual learning. Activity based learning & aptitude focused questions.
    COMPUTER SCIENCES The secondary classes include integrated version of Computer Sciences including higher level of computer applications. ROBOTICS Preparing the students for future by engaging them in software and programming.
    SOCIAL SCIENCES Social Sciences for secondary grades cover History, Geography and Civics, through practical learning. Role Plays, dummy sessions of parliaments, courts etc. Awareness based experiential learning through street plays, rallies etc.
    LANGUAGES English is the first language & mandatory for all, taught through creative tools and visual aids.
    Multi-linguistic skills add a huge advantage to the personality of a child. It not only helps him in better communication but also provides him with wider opportunities in every field. English, Hindi, Sanskrit.    		 Literature language integration.
    The first language option is English. This is mandatory for all grades. Language option includes Hindi, Sanskrit. Sanskrit is taught from IV to grade X.    		 Creative writing sessions.
    For third language option we have Sanskrit . Sanskrit will be taught since grade IV till grade X.

    ASSESSMENT
    • Weekly Assessments - - 20 min objective tests that act as checkpoints in a student’s academic schedule, conducted in the buffer periods to maintain a child’s consistency.
    • Periodic Assessments -Objective and Subjective tests conducted once in each term for all scholastic subjects, that accounts to 10% in final results.
    • Summative Assessments - Objective and Subjective tests conducted at the end of each term for all scholastic subjects except Computers. These tests accounts for 40% in the final results.
    • External Assessments - Gray Matters, SOF, ASSET, HOMI BHABHA, Spell Bee, TLP , Olympiads
